ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT: FOLLOW UP

From August 6th to 10th, the YWCA took part in the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management. The event welcomed some 10,000 people from all over the world who participated in various workshops on the following theme: « Dare to Care: Passion and Compassion in Management Practice and Research ».
As part of this conference, management scholars from well known universities in Canada, United States, Europe and Asia generously shared their business management expertise with Montreal entrepreneurs during workshops on “Sustaining Montreal Businesses”.
The YWCA and its Foundation thank the AOM, the LAC team (Local arrangements Service team) as well as the many people who donated clothes, books and money to benefit the organization.

Through this guide book, the Entrepreneurship Centre shares the best business practices that were highlighted during the second edition of Rendez-Vous Femmes Entrepreneures 2009. It offers both concrete action and innovative strategies that aim to promote the development of women entrepreneurs.
Some of the themes covered in this guide are: innovation, creativity, taking courageous and daring action, getting the right support and how to seize business opportunities.
« Le leadership au féminin : la croissance et les opportunités dans un contexte économique difficile » is intended for women entrepreneurs from all domains as well as professionals from both the entrepreneurship and business sectors.
